The honeymoon is probably the best time to celebrate each other’s company after the hustles of the wedding and to start your intimate physical relationship hopefully for a lifetime. So, a perfect place with romantic activities is a must, if you’re on a honeymoon. In my opinion, wonderful honeymoon in Venice, Italy, has been and will always be one of the best honeymoon destinations in the world with peace and tranquil islands, soft seaside sunlight and fascinating sunset, humid tropical climate, picturesque streets, amazing architecture, a parade of Venetian watercraft, eye-pressing lagoon, endless bridges, charming churches and museums, famous Gondola ride, wonderful restaurants with quality cuisine of the Veneto, romantic dinner cruise and lot more!
The name Venice is derived from the ancient Veneti, is a city in northern Italy. It has about 117 islands linked by bridges and separated by canals. Venice is located in the marshy Venetian Lagoon, stretches along the shorelines of the Po and the Piave Rivers. It is listed as a World Heritage Site along with its lagoon, also has been known as the ‘City of Water’, ‘City of Bridges’, ‘La Dominate’, the ‘ Floating City’, ‘Serenissima’, ‘City of Canals’ and ‘the City of Masks’. Although, Venice is a wealthy city throughout most of its history of symphonic and operatic music.
For its celebrated art and architecture, Venice is one of the most popular and important best honeymoon destinations in the world. Constructed buildings of the city are on closely spaced wooden piles and buildings of stone or brick constructed on plates of Istrian limestone placed on top of the piles.
There are numerous attractions in Venice, attracting thousands of celebrities, actors, critics, and main people in the cinematic industry annually. But the worst times to visit Venice maybe when it’s raining and during the carnival. However, Venice is one of the most idyllic places to celebrate holidays, family vacations, destination weddings, honeymoons or romantic getaways.
There are varieties of things to do in Venice. You can enjoy a romantic but expensive Gondola ride, plan a dinner cruise, shopping the open-air markets which are packed full of small stores in every corner, spend a day on the beautiful islands, take a visit to the fascinating rooms in the Secret Itineraries in Doge’s Palace, taste the great food of the Veneto or simply walk off the absence of cars makes Venice an outstanding experience to explore.
Visiting Venice is an enormous experience. A number of few must visit places are, the Rialtine islands, which is the main part of Venice, most famous islands in the main districts are, San Polo, Cannaregio, Sestieri, Dosudoro, Santa Croce, San Marco and Castello. In the lagoon include Torcello, Murano, Burano and San Francesco Del Deserto. Today’s attractions in Venice are St. Mark’s Basilica, the Piazza San Marco, the Grand Canal, the Lido Di Venezia, etc.
The water plays a crucial role in transportation due to the lagoon in Venice. Ride a water bus Vaporetto to explore the priceless sights. Nothing can be compared with the elegance of Venice. There are boat services between the islands themselves. You can also take the water taxi to different parts of the island. Hop off the Vaporetto, the Lace Museum in Burano, the old church and the famous & expensive Cipriani restaurant in Torcello. Visit many famous Tombs, walk through the alleyways are certainly worth a visit.
Venice is one of the most lovely and interesting best honeymoon destinations in the world, which relies heavily on the cruise business. Numerous attractions of celebrated art and architecture, history and culture, delicious food, and picturesque views make the city a little paradise to the honeymooners.
As always, you’re highly recommended to ensure your travel insurance before traveling anywhere in the world.
